Soccer Game Preview: Millard North vs. Millard South

An exciting North v. South battle is about to be fought. The Millard North Mustangs will take on the Millard South Patriots in a tournament on Thursday. Millard North will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Millard North's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Bellevue West 1-0. Even though Millard North got in a bit of trouble with the refs ( Daniel Adayi was handed a red card), the team managed to overcome the adversity.

Millard North's one-goal win came courtesy of Connor Robbins, who's now up to seven this season.

Millard South fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over Omaha Northwest on Wednesday.

Millard North's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four games. As for Millard South, their victory bumped their record up to 3-6.

Millard North beat Millard South by a goal in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, winning 2-1. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Patriots turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
