Volleyball Recap: Central Comes Up Short

After flying high against Madera South on Friday, Central came back down to earth. The Grizzlies came up short against the Torres Toros on Monday, falling 3-0.

Central was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Torres work for it, especially in the third set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-20, 26-24.

Gianna Gonzalez was the offensive standout of the match as she had 16 digs and four assists. That's the most assists she has posted over her last five contests. Alana Cook also deserves some recognition as she had her first kills of the season.

Central's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Torres, their victory ended a three-match drought on the road and puts them at 6-9.

Central has already played their next matchup (against Fresno), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Torres, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Madera South on the 23rd.
