Softball Recap: Tonasket Starts Season with Victory at Home

Tonasket gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 30-1 margin over the Oroville Hornets. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Tigers also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Ali Nicholson was a standout: she scored three runs and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-2. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordyn O'Connor, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tonasket is headed away from home for the first time to challenge Omak at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oroville, they will head out on the road to face off against Curlew at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
