It was a good run, but Orange unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Saturday. They were beaten by the Western Alamance Warriors 76-38. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-17.

Orange's loss came despite strong showings from Lily Wilson and Maura Mcmurtry. Wilson posted 11 points, while Mcmurtry put up nine points.

Allie Sykes was her usual excellent self, going 9-for-16 from beyond the arc to rack up 31 points for Western Alamance. Sykes is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as she's posted one of at least 44% in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Tina Bowers, who earned 11 points along with seven rebounds and six assists.

Orange's defeat dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Western Alamance, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-4 record this season.

Orange wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 50-33 win against Swansboro on the 25th. As for Western Alamance, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 78-26 victory against Northern Nash on the 25th.
