Basketball Game Preview: Kirbyville Wildcats vs. Hardin Hornets

Kirbyville is on an 11-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, Hardin a five-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck will change on Tuesday. The Kirbyville Wildcats will welcome the Hardin Hornets at 7:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

It was a proper cat-fight when Kirbyville faced off against Kountze on Friday. Kirbyville was outmatched by Kountze and fell 97-5. The match marked the Wildcats' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Hardin played a tough game on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 82-39 loss at the hands of East Chambers. The Hornets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-11.

Hardin's loss dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Kirbyville, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-19.

Kirbyville was able to grind out a solid win over Hardin in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, winning 62-52. Does Kirbyville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hardin turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
