Basketball Recap: Calhan Bulldogs vs. Merino Rams

Merino's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kya Piel, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine assists. Piel is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 21 games she's played. Brooklyn Sutter was another key player, shooting 60% from the field on her way to 12 points along with seven rebounds and six assists.
Calhan's loss dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Merino, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 23-1.
Calhan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Merino, they have already played their next match, a 49-20 win against Sargent on the 13th.
