Recap: Chambers Cougars vs. Northwest Guilford Vikings
With a playoff game on the line, the Chambers Cougars rose to the challenge on Friday. They blew past Northwest Guilford 45-20. Chambers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won seven matchups by 25 points or more this season.
Chambers got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaden Marshall out in front who threw for 330 yards and four touchdowns on only 19 passes. Another player making a difference was Armon Wright, who picked up 143 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
When it comes to explaining why Northwest Guilford lost, one person who can't be blamed is Tanner Ballou. Despite the final result, he threw for 247 yards and three touchdowns.
Chambers has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Northwest Guilford, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-3.
Chambers will head out on the road to face off against Weddington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Weddington will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive. Northwest Guilford does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
