Softball Recap: Nooksack Valley Beats Tenino for Their Fifth Straight Win

Nooksack Valley extended their winning streak to five on Saturday, bumping their season record up to 9-3 in the process. Everything went their way against the Tenino Beavers as they made off with a 17-6 victory. The result was nothing new for the Pioneers, who have now won five contests by six runs or more so far this season.

As for Tenino, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-10. On the bright side, the six- run performance marked their highest-scoring matchup to date.

For Tenino's part, Macie Scharber and Preslee Fisher stepped up to the plate in a big way. Scharber went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one double, while Fisher went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That double marked the first that Scharber has hit this season. Georgia Gore was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Looking ahead, Nooksack Valley will head out to challenge Squalicum at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tenino, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 20-1 loss against Elma on the 21st.
