Basketball Recap: Pollok Central Takes a Loss

Pollok Central and Hitchcock squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Pollok Central had to settle for second. They took a hard 58-39 fall against Hitchcock. While losing is never fun, Pollok Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 563rd, while Hitchcock is ranked 141st).

Pollok Central's defeat dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Hitchcock, they are on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 18 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 25-4 record this season.

Pollok Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Hitchcock, they will challenge Fairfield on Monday. Hitchcock has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 251 points over their last three matches.
