Basketball Game Preview: San Luis Obispo Tigers vs. St. Joseph Knights

San Luis Obispo hasn't had much luck against St. Joseph recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The San Luis Obispo Tigers will welcome the St. Joseph Knights at 6:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: both posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

San Luis Obispo will head into Friday's match on the come-up: they were handed a heart-breaking three-point loss in their last contest, but they sure didn't let that happen against Templeton on Friday. San Luis Obispo put the hurt on Templeton with a sharp 68-43 win. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 119th, while the Eagles are ranked 554th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, St. Joseph waltzed into their game on Saturday with ten straight wins... but they left with 11. They walked away with a 76-67 victory over the Pride.

St. Joseph's win bumped their record up to 22-1. As for San Luis Obispo, they are also on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

San Luis Obispo was dealt a bruising 99-62 defeat at the hands of St. Joseph in their previous matchup on January 10th. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point San Luis Obispo was down 48-19.
