It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Deckerville had no problem doing just that on Saturday. In a tight game that could have gone either way, they made off with a 27-26 win over the Morrice Orioles. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted since August 28th.

It was another big night for Brandon Salowitz, who rushed for 161 yards and three scores. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 68 yards.

The win made it two in a row for Deckerville and bumps their season record up to 9-1. As for Morrice, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-2.

Coming up, Deckerville is taking a road trip to challenge Britton Deerfield on Saturday. The Eagles will need to watch out since the Patriots have now posted at least 31 points in their last eight contests. Morrice does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
