Football Game Preview: Cusick Panthers vs. Pomeroy Pirates + How To Watch

The Cusick Panthers are taking a road trip to challenge the Pomeroy Pirates at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Cusick knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 31 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Pomeroy likes a good challenge.

Cusick is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 66-46 margin over Columbia on Friday. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Pomeroy suffered their biggest loss since November 1, 2024 on Saturday. They took a blow against DeSales, falling 52-14. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Pirates' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Although Pomeroy took the loss, they still got scores from Treyton Kimble and Kyzer Herres.

Having lost for the first time this season, Pomeroy fell to 8-1. As for Cusick, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Cusick was dealt a bruising 56-0 defeat at the hands of Pomeroy when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
