Basketball Preview: Owings Mills Golden Eagles vs. Woodlawn Warriors
Owings Mills has been on the road for three straight, but on Wednesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Woodlawn Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
On Monday, Owings Mills had to suffer through a rough 51-23 loss at the hands of the Wildcats. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Owings Mills in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now lost five in a row.
Meanwhile, Woodlawn didn't have too much trouble with the Knights on the road on Wednesday as they won 35-18. The win made it back-to-back wins for Woodlawn.
Woodlawn's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaelyn House, who scored eight points along with five steals. Another player making a difference was Jordan Harding, who scored nine points along with five steals.
Owings Mills' loss was their tenth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-16. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 16.7 points per game. As for Woodlawn, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-8.
