Basketball Recap: Des Moines East Comes Up Short

Des Moines East and Marshalltown squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Des Moines East had to settle for second. They were dealt a 53-10 defeat at the hands of the Marshalltown Bobcats. The Scarlets' loss continues a trend for the team, making it eight in a row.

Des Moines East's defeat dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Marshalltown, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-14.

While Des Moines East had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled on Wednesday.
