Volleyball Recap: Pleasant Hope Takes a Loss

Pleasant Hope lost against Greenfield two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Pirates fell 2-0 to the Wildcats. The Pirates have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-19, 25-13.

Lily Lambeth paced Pleasant Hope's offense, picking up eight kills. Lambeth got some help from Abigail Fitzlaff and her 12 assists. Finally, Gracie Pulley kept Pleasant Hope's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Pleasant Hope's defeat dropped their record down to 11-15-3. As for Greenfield, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 12-7-2.

Pleasant Hope didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Marionville on the 11th. As for Greenfield, they have also already played their next matchup, a 1-1 draw against Russellville on the 11th.
