Preview: Leake Academy Rebels vs. St. Joseph Catholic Bruins

Leake Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 contests by 23 points or more this season. They blew past Desoto County Academy 70-39 on the road. The score was close at the half, but Leake Academy pulled away in the second half with 46 points.
Leake Academy's win on Tuesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jenna Allen, who scored 19 points. Allen is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Marleigh Myers was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, St. Joseph Catholic suffered a rough 58-38 defeat at the hands of Kirk Academy on Tuesday.
Leake Academy's win bumped their record up to 15-3. As for St. Joseph Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
Everything came up roses for Leake Academy against St. Joseph Catholic in their previous meeting back in November of 2022 as the squad secured a 64-34 victory. Will Leake Academy repeat their success, or does St. Joseph Catholic have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
