Football Recap: Mountain Valley Comes Up Short

Mountain Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 22-18 heartbreaker at the hands of the Morse Shipbuilders. The Falcons lost against the Shipbuilders in their previous head to head back in October of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 34-8 score last time.

Although Mountain Valley took the loss, they still got scores from Cole Curtis, Dylan Theriault, and Diquari Thompson.

Mountain Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Morse, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Mountain Valley has already played their next contest, a 16-14 loss against Oak Hill on the 3rd. As for Morse, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 35-8 defeat against Winthrop on the 2nd.
