            The Warren Township Blue Devils will head out to  square off against the Mundelein Mustangs  at 6:45  p.m.  on Thursday. Mundelein took a loss in their last  match and will be looking to turn the tables on Warren Township, who comes in off a win.
Warren Township will roll into the  contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any  goals  on Sunday, then bounced right back against Zion-Benton  on Tuesday. The Blue Devils blew past the Zee-Bees 7-0. Warren Township haven't had any issues with Zion-Benton recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive  victory against them.
 Despite a strong season so far, Mundelein has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They took  a  2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Libertyville on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Mundelein can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 55th, while Libertyville are ranked eighth).
 Warren Township's win was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 8-3-1. The  home  victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one  goal over those four  games. As for Mundelein, their loss dropped their record down to 8-2-2.
 Warren Township beat Mundelein 3-1  in their previous meeting  back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the  team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
