Baseball Game Preview: De Leon Bearcats vs. Winters Blizzards

The De Leon Bearcats are taking a road trip to take on the Winters Blizzards at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Winters took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on De Leon, who comes in off a win.

While De Leon's win against Santo wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bearcats won by a run and slipped past the Wildcats 7-6.

Meanwhile, Winters was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 7-1 to Cisco.

Winters saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jonah Whitaker, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Winters' defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for De Leon, their victory bumped their record up to 10-8-1.

De Leon couldn't quite finish off Winters in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 and fell 11-9. Can the Bearcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
