Softball Recap: Jones' Run of Eight Straight Victories Now Over

Jones fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Hancock on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of Hancock by a score of 4-3. Jones' defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Jones saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Delaney Treccia, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Jones suffered their first road loss, dropping their record down to 16-2. As for Hancock, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Jones will square off against DePaul College Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Hancock, they will take on Juarez at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
