Hanover is 9-0 against Diller-Odell since December of 2014 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Hanover Wildcats will welcome the Diller-Odell Griffin at 7:30 p.m. Hanover is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last six games.
Hanover saw some tournament action on Monday. They strolled past Doniphan West with points to spare, taking the game 70-56. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while the Mustangs are ranked 281st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hanover to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tanner Bruna, who went 7 of 14 on his way to 20 points in addition to eight boards and four blocks. Bruna has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Garrett Martin, who went 5 for 9 en route to 12 points and seven boards.
Meanwhile, Diller-Odell earned a 47-38 win over Lawrence-Nelson on Thursday.
Hanover better keep an eye on Cooper Morgan. He was instrumental in Diller-Odell's win, putting up 21 points and six rebounds. That's the most points Morgan has posted since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Peyton Humphreys, who posted seven points and six boards.
Diller-Odell now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Hanover, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Hanover has been crashing the rebounds this season, having averaged 32.9 boards per game. However, it's not like Diller-Odell struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30.8 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Hanover barely slipped by Diller-Odell in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, winning 41-40. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Morgan, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 16 boards. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Hanover still be able to contain Morgan? There's only one way to find out.
