Baseball Recap: Montgomery Comes Up Short

Montgomery was the 5-0 winner over Coronado when they last played one another back in March of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Montgomery came up short against Coronado on Friday, falling 12-1. The Aztecs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Montgomery saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Flores, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That double was Flores' first of the season.

Montgomery now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Coronado, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Montgomery will square off against Scripps Ranch at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Coronado, they will take on Bonita Vista at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Coronado is facing Bonita Vista at the right time seeing as Bonita Vista is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
