Basketball Recap: Argos Comes Up Short

Argos was the 61-51 winner over Glenn when they last played one another back in January of 2025, but their luck changed this time around. The Dragons came up short against the Falcons on Friday, falling 61-41. The Dragons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Argos lost, don't look at Zhayne Hellums. Despite the final result, he went 9-for-17 to rack up 25 points. Mekhi Austin was another key player, putting up 13 points.

It was another big night for Jude Nicks, who shot 53% from the field on his way to 22 points along with seven boards and five assists for Glenn. Those five assists gave Nicks a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hunter Dupont, who posted nine points and five rebounds.

Argos' loss dropped their record down to 2-12. As for Glenn, their record is now 4-12.

Coming up, Argos will look to defend their home court on the 31st against Churubusco at 7:30 p.m. As for Glenn, they will venture away from home to take on Tippecanoe Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
