Baseball Recap: Dr. Phillips Takes a Loss

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Dr. Phillips and Boone, and Boone kept the tradition alive. The Dr. Phillips Panthers lost 11-1 to the Boone Braves on Thursday. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Braves apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2021.

Dr. Phillips saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Diego Diaz, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Dr. Phillips now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Boone, they pushed their record up to 5-7 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Dr. Phillips will take on DeLand in a tournament on Tuesday. Boone will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against South Lake at 7:00 p.m. on March 25th.
