Baseball Recap: Springfield Gets the Win

Springfield won the last time they faced Portland and things went their way on Saturday too. The Yellow Jackets had just enough and edged out the Panthers 10-8. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Yellow Jackets.

Kason Woodson was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four runs, two stolen bases, and two doubles. Springfield is 4-2 when Woodson posts two or more runs, but 8-12 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jackson Goodfred, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one run.

Springfield's win bumped their record up to 12-14. As for Portland, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-21.

Springfield wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 15-0 loss against Liberty Creek on the 2nd. Portland does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
