Football Recap: Lancaster Sets Scoring Season-High Against Horn

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lancaster). They enjoyed a cozy 30-15 win over the Horn Jaguars on Friday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Tigers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 56th, while the Jaguars are ranked 208th).

When it comes to explaining why Horn lost, don't look at Donta Ware. Despite the final result, he rushed for 113 yards, and also threw for 75 yards and one TD. Ware is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 113 every time he's taken the field this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Lancaster and bumps their season record up to 2-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 28.5 points over those games. As for Horn, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Lancaster wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 26-10 loss against Cedar Hill on the 26th. As for Horn, they have also already played their next matchup, a 45-7 victory against Mesquite on the 26th.
