Baseball Recap: Braddock Takes a Loss

Braddock lost against Sunset back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Bulldogs took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Knights.

Braddock got a good showing from Miguel Diaz, who pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Diaz has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Adam Hernandez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcelo Torres, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Braddock's loss dropped their record down to 17-6-1. As for Sunset, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-11.

Braddock didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-3 win against Hialeah Educational Academy on the 10th. As for Sunset, they have also already played their next game, a 9-1 victory against Downtown Doral on the 10th.
