Baseball Recap: Steward Takes a Loss

Steward lost to Miller School of Albemarle back in May of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Spartans took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mavericks. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Steward now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Miller School of Albemarle, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season.

Steward will venture away from home to take on Benedictine at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Miller School of Albemarle, they will welcome Great Bridge at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Mavericks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wildcats have averaged an impressive 6.4 runs per game this season.
