Basketball Recap: University Takes a Loss

University was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They were dealt a 66-26 defeat at the hands of the Chaparral Bobcats. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 997th, while the Bobcats are ranked 114th).

University's record now sits at 4-16. As for Chaparral, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-10 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. University has already played their next matchup (against Belton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Chaparral Bobcats challenge the Waco Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
