Soccer Game Preview: Lee County vs. Southern Lee + How To Watch

The Lee County Yellow Jackets will challenge the Southern Lee Cavaliers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Lee County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.6 goals per game this season.

Lee County's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They came out on top against Union Pines by a score of 2-0. Given Lee County's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 154th, while Union Pines are ranked 427th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Joseph Rodriguez and Adrain Trujillio scored both of Lee County's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 15 goals.

Meanwhile, Southern Lee's game on Thursday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Harnett Central. Southern Lee have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Lee County is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 16-7 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 33 goals over those 11 matchups. As for Southern Lee, their loss dropped their record down to 9-11-1.
