Baseball Recap: West Noble Chargers vs. Bremen Lions

West Noble extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 5-4 in the process. They lost 14-4 to the Bremen Lions. The Chargers were not able to make up for their loss to the Lions from their previous meeting back in March of 2024.

Trey Shisler made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Nicolas Campos also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

As for Bremen, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won four matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

On Bremen's side, Casey Ton tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits.

On the hitting side, Aden Hunziker was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Wildauer, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

West Noble and Bremen should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings. The Chargers will challenge Churubusco at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (123 vs. 289). Meanwhile, Bremen (ranked 71st) will meet Tippecanoe Valley (ranked 316th) at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
