Basketball Game Preview: McQueen Lancers vs. Spanish Springs Cougars

The McQueen Lancers will square off against the Spanish Springs Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. McQueen has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with 13 straight losses, while Spanish Springs will come in with four straight victories.

McQueen lost 59-35 to Damonte Ranch on Friday.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Spanish Springs). They blew past Douglas 66-38 on Friday. The Cougars have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Spanish Springs' win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-5. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 25.8 points. As for McQueen, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-20.

McQueen took a serious blow against Spanish Springs when the teams last played back in January, falling 63-29. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point McQueen was down 34-10.
