Volleyball Recap: Windsor Comes Up Short in High-Profile Contest with Maloney

Windsor faced Maloney in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Warriors lost 3-0 to the Spartans. The Warriors just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

While Windsor ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-21, 25-19.

Nathan Le paced Windsor's offense, picking up 13 kills. Le got some help from Maximilian Esquiagola Ayala and his 24 assists. Finally, Esquiagola Ayala was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Windsor's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Maloney, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 11-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Windsor will face off against Academy of Science and Innovation at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Maloney, they will square off against Hall at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
