Softball Recap: Watertown Comes Up Short

Watertown saw some tournament action on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Gibson Southern Titans by a score of 8-7.

Alyssa Wood was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run. Harlie Phillips also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Watertown's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Watertown didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 15-1 win against Sycamore on the 27th. As for Gibson Southern, they have also already played their next matchup, an 11-4 victory against Farmington on the 27th.
