Morning Star Academy had won eight straight home games dating back to last season and Morgan Tipsword did her part to make it nine on Tuesday. The Mustangs came out on top against the Pathway Christian Panthers by a score of 3-1 thanks in part to Tipsword, who had six digs and five aces. Tipsword is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least four every time she's taken the court this season.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-17, 21-25, 25-17.

Morning Star Academy's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Pathway Christian, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Coming up, Morning Star Academy will head out to face off against East Moline Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Mustangs are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Pathway Christian, they will host Varsity Opponent at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
