Football Recap: Apopka Blue Darters vs. Ocoee Knights
Apopka took care of business in their home opener on Saturday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Ocoee Knights a 10-0 shutout. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Blue Darters also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2023.
Apopka can attribute much of their success to Tyson Davison, who rushed for 131 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.3 yards per carry.
Davison wasn't the only one working in the rushing yards department: Apopka was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 237 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Ocoee only rushed for -8.
Apopka will look to defend their home field on Friday against Evans at 7:00 p.m. As for Ocoee, they will welcome Olympia at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
