Basketball Game Preview: Pequot Lakes Patriots vs. Foley Falcons

The Pequot Lakes Patriots will head out on the road to face off against the Foley Falcons at 5:45 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Pequot Lakes was able to grind out a solid victory over St. Cloud Cathedral, taking the game 42-33. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 69th, while the Crusaders are ranked 239th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Foley was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Mora 79-37. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 20 points or more this season.

The win made it two in a row for Foley and bumps their season record up to 11-6. As for Pequot Lakes, their record now sits at 13-4.

Pequot Lakes was able to grind out a solid victory over Foley in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, winning 63-53. The rematch might be a little tougher for Pequot Lakes since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
