Basketball Recap: Marian Catholic Comes Up Short

Marian Catholic was the 81-64 winner over Perspectives Leadership/Technology when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Spartans took a 52-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Warriors on Sunday. The Spartans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Leading Perspectives Leadership/Technology to victory were Tristan Howard and Jayden Taylor. Howard dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten rebounds, while Taylor posted 12 points in addition to six assists and five steals. Taylor has become a key player for the Warriors: the team is undefeated when he posts at least five steals, but 1-2 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Ian Flowers, who put up eight points.

Marian Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Perspectives Leadership/Technology, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Marian Catholic will venture away from home to take on Joliet Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Perspectives Leadership/Technology, they will head out to face off against Phillips at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
