MaxPreps Game of the Week: No. 25 Carrollton vs. Gainesville features 33 players with at least one Division I offer

Georgia showdown is highlighted by athletes headed to Alabama, Clemson, Georgia and Michigan.

The MaxPreps Game of the Week is headed to Georgia Friday as No. 25 Carrollton takes on Gainesville.

The showdown features a combined 33 players that have landed at least one FBS or FCS offer, with Gainesville leading the way with 18.

Five-star senior linebacker Xavier Griffin headlines the contingent from Gainesville. Griffin is the No. 8 overall player in his class and is committed to Alabama. The Red Elephants also have a pair of four-stars in senior Alabama commit Jamarion Matthews and junior Clemson pledge Kharim Hughley at quarterback.

Carrollton is led by a trio of four-star prospects who contribute at skill positions and the offensive line. From the class of 2026, wide receiver Ryan Mosley is headed to Georgia and cornerback Dorian Barney is committed to Michigan. Sophomore offensive tackle Kweli Fielder is rated as the No. 18 overall player in his class and has 21 offers including Georgia, LSU and Ohio State.

There are no player rankings for the Class of 2029 yet but Carrollton freshman quarterback C.J. Cypher holds double-digit offers including Arkansas, Auburn and Florida State.
