La Porte and Sterling are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2015, but likely not for long. The Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Rangers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. La Porte is coming into the match hot, having won their last seven games.

On Friday, La Porte sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over Dawson.

Meanwhile, Sterling suffered their biggest loss since March 7th on Friday. They lost 9-1 to Barbers Hill. The defeat continues a trend for the Rangers in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost six in a row.

Sterling saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Marron, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base.

La Porte's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-10. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Sterling, they now have a losing record of 13-14.

La Porte came up short against Sterling when the teams last played back in March of 2022, falling 7-3. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
