Volleyball Recap: St. Mary's Beats Kimball for Their Sixth Straight Win

St. Mary waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They put the hurt on the Kimball Jaguars with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

The final score came out to 25-10, 25-17, 25-10.

St. Mary's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rachel Nemee led the charge by getting 22 digs and two assists. Nemee is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last seven games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Genevieve Rishwain, who had nine digs and five aces.

St. Mary's was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in eight consecutive matches.

St. Mary's record is now 16-8. As for Kimball, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-15.

Looking ahead, St. Mary's will take on Archbishop Riordan in a tournament on Saturday. As for Kimball, they will welcome Lodi at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
