Softball Recap: Muir Comes Up Short

Muir was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of Arleta. Muir was not able to make up for their defeat to Arleta from their previous meeting back in April of 2023.

Muir saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Erica Wallace, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Muir suffered their first road loss, dropping their record down to 7-5. As for Arleta, their win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 6-5.

Muir didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-1 victory against Poly on the 29th. As for Arleta, they will square off against Bravo at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Arleta will need to watch out since Bravo has now posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
