Volleyball Game Preview: Grace Lutheran Royals vs. Alturas Prep Pumas

After both having extra time off, the Grace Lutheran Royals and the Alturas Prep Pumas will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Alturas Prep took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Grace Lutheran, who comes in off a win.

Grace Lutheran is headed into the matchup having just posted their closest win since October 10, 2024 on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Watersprings, sneaking past 2-1.

Meanwhile, Alturas Prep came up short against Watersprings on Tuesday and fell 3-1. While the Pumas didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating Watersprings 25-19 in the first set.

Alturas Prep started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 25-16, 25-9, 25-7.

Grace Lutheran has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-8 record this season. As for Alturas Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
