Volleyball Recap: Salesian Extends Winning Streak to Four

Salesian entered their tilt with St. Monica on Thursday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Mariners with a sharp 3-0 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Mustangs also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

While Salesian won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-18, 25-22, 25-20.

Despite the loss, St. Monica still got an impressive performance from Juliam Dowd, who had 18 digs. That's the most digs Dowd has posted since back in April of 2024.

Salesian's victory bumped their record up to 6-11. As for St. Monica, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Salesian will take on rival St. Genevieve at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, St. Monica is set to challenge their familiar foe Bosco Tech at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
