Jaliyah Terry continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 10 for 20 on her way to 22 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Maci Butler, who posted four points along with nine boards and three steals.

Curtis Baptist smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in five consecutive games.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Jefferson Davis Academy). They walked away with a 54-41 victory over Holly Hill Academy on Wednesday. The score was all tied up 25-25 at the break, but Jefferson Davis Academy was the better team in the second half.

Curtis Baptist pushed their record up to 12-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 18.0 points per game. As for Jefferson Davis Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.

Everything came up roses for Curtis Baptist against Jefferson Davis Academy in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as the team secured a 46-9 win. In that matchup, Curtis Baptist amassed a halftime lead of 33-2, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
