Volleyball Recap: Langston Hughes Comes Up Short

Langston Hughes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Osborne Cardinals.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Langston Hughes sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 29-27, 15-25, 15-13.

Langston Hughes' loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Osborne, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coming up, Langston Hughes will face off against New Manchester at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Osborne, they have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Lithia Springs on the 12th.
