Softball Recap: York Falcons vs. Lafayette Rams
After low-scoring totals in their previous three matchup, York brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They never let the Lafayette Rams get on the board and left with a 19-0 victory on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Falcons as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Bri Petrolia was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one walk in 11 consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Sarah Witt was a standout: she got on base in all five of her plate appearances with four runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those four runs gave her a new career-high.
