Volleyball Recap: Eureka Falls Short Against Ranked Rockwood Summit

Eureka faced Rockwood Summit in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Wildcats took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Falcons. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Falcons earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Sutton Reed paced Eureka's offense, picking up 21 kills. Reed got some help from Jett Wilken and his 40 assists. Finally, Bodie Wilken kept Eureka's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

The defeat snapped Eureka's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 15-13 record. As for Rockwood Summit, their victory bumped their record up to 20-11-1.

Eureka does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Rockwood Summit, they will head out on the road to take on Lafayette at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
