Basketball Recap: Mauston Comes Up Short

Mauston lost against Wisconsin Dells back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Mauston Golden Eagles took a 68-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Wisconsin Dells Chiefs. While losing is never fun, the Golden Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 406th, while the Chiefs are ranked 86th).

Mauston's loss dropped their record down to 3-14. As for Wisconsin Dells, their victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mauston will challenge Royall at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wisconsin Dells, they will take on Reedsburg at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
