Football Recap: West Bolivar Takes a Loss

West Bolivar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss dating back to last season. They were two points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 14-12 heartbreaker at the hands of the Independence Wildcats.

West Bolivar's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Independence, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Bolivar will head out to face off against North Side at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Independence, they will venture away from home to square off against Strayhorn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Wildcats will be up against the Mustangs' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27.75 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
